CAPTAIN – Nuno Tomas Leitao

Sail and Professional Background:
Nuno Tomas Leitao, originally from Lisbon, harbors an enduring love for the ocean. His affinity for water sports developed from a young age, culminating in five Portuguese Rowing Championship victories. Fueled by an unwavering passion for sports and boundless energy, Nuno ventured into the Portuguese Navy to become a Professional Scuba Diver. Following his stint with the Special Forces, he earned a degree from a Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, honing his exceptional skills in engine maintenance and performance. Nuno, with several years of experience in motorcycle racing, never let go of his initial maritime love, spending the past 19 years circumnavigating the globe by sail.

STEWARDESS / CHEF – Malgorzata Sliwa:

Sailing and Professional Experience:
Malgorzata has nurtured an enduring love for travel and the sea. With a background in gastronomy, she honed her skills in restaurant kitchens, providing ideal preparation for the demands of her current role. She dedicated many years to the same private sailing yacht before transitioning to her role as stewardess/chef on WALLY ONE, a position she has successfully held for the past 5 years.

MATE / ENGINEER – Reis Genilho Simoes

Sailing and Work Background:
Reis’s affinity for the sea and sailing began at the tender age of 5, propelling him into a marine career with a focus on naval mechanics. After securing basic safety training certificates and a marine license, he embarked on his journey as a deckhand on WALLY ONE in 2017. Accumulating skills and experience in the yachting world, Reis returns to WALLY ONE in 2023, taking on the role of engineer/mate, eager to welcome guests on board.
