Meet Morgane and Séamus, who crossed paths in 2018 and have been sailing the world together on their yacht, Elvis, ever since. Their joint mission is to provide an unparalleled, thrilling, and luxurious charter experience for their guests.
Flite Magic offers an interactive adventure perfect for families and friends. Morgane and Séamus will guide you through a truly unique yacht charter holiday, emphasizing sailing, sports, and comfort, all within a safe and opulent environment.
CAPTAIN – SEAMUS O’DONNELL Originally from Dublin, Séamus (pronounced ‘Shaymus’) developed his sailing skills at an early age with The Royal Irish Yacht Club. He pursued Nautical science at university and furthered his education in Navigation with the Irish Navy, serving as a Commissioned Officer for four years. Séamus then embarked on extensive travels, exploring exotic places from France to Nepal and touring Asia. His adventures led him to more than 50 countries, where he pursued his passions for underwater photography, videography, snowboarding, and mountaineering.
After returning to Ireland, Séamus honed his maritime expertise during a two-year tenure on the crew of the Dublin Lifeboat. There, he received extensive training from the RNLI medical emergency response unit. With over 100,000 nautical miles under his belt, including challenging voyages on sail training Challenge 72’s, tall-ships in Europe, Volvo Ocean Race 70’s, and super yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, Séamus boasts 11 trans-Atlantic crossings and 3 Pacific crossings as a captain.
His professional career includes working on prestigious super-sailing yachts, including Parsifal 3, Silenco, Sybaris, and the world’s largest ketch, Aquijo. Notably, Séamus sailed around Cape Horn and into the Pacific while creating videos for his boss. With over a decade of super-yacht charter experience, including extended charters lasting up to three months, Séamus has earned several sailing awards, including the Commodore’s prize of the RIYC for youth sailing achievement, Sovereign’s cup wins, and Super-yacht regatta wins of the Perini and Millennium cups.
Aside from sailing, Séamus is a qualified fitness instructor, PADI dive master, RYA PWC (Personal Watercraft) instructor, and an adept kitesurfing, wakeboarding, and Fliteboard enthusiast. He is always ready to lead snorkeling excursions, arrange dives with top operators, and instruct guests in the latest water sports. Furthermore, he is skilled in drone operation and will capture the joyous moments of your charter. Séamus lives by the motto, “Anything is possible, just give me the time to plan.”
When not on the water, Séamus enjoys attending to guests’ needs and manning the BBQ on board Elvis Magic. His social nature and professionalism ensure guests’ absolute enjoyment and safety throughout their stay.
CHEF – MORGANE SOYER Hailing from the picturesque seaside town of St. Raphael near St. Tropez, France, Morgane’s childhood was filled with horse riding and sailing in the Caribbean. She is not only a skilled musician, horse rider, yoga enthusiast, scuba-diver, and fisher but also one of the first women in the world to master the e-Foil (electric hydro foiling surfboard). Beyond her athletic pursuits, Morgane is an accomplished academic, having qualified as a Doctor of Chiropractic after completing her studies in Toulouse, France.
Morgane’s diverse experiences include language tuition, voluntary work in Africa, and teaching infant swimming courses. She boasts top-level service experience from working in some of France’s finest restaurants and bars, notably spending two years at ‘The No.5’ in Toulouse, which was crowned the best wine bar in the world in 2017. During her studies, she managed a prestigious bar in Toulouse for several years. Recently, Morgane accomplished her first trans-Atlantic crossing.
Being French, Morgane’s passion for cooking began at an early age, learning culinary arts from her grandmother. Over the years, she has mastered Mediterranean and Caribbean culinary fusion and gained valuable experience working in the kitchen of No.5 in Toulouse. Her cooking style blends traditional French cuisine, classic coastal Mediterranean dishes, Caribbean BBQ, and Polynesian Island influences. Morgane takes pride in preparing delicious, healthy, and well-balanced meals, using freshly sourced local ingredients and incorporating local influences. She is also an expert in securing bookings at exclusive, hidden French restaurant gems, including those in Corsica.
Morgane excels in attending to guests with a calm and polite demeanor, encouraging them to fully immerse themselves in the Flite Magic experience. Her ability to interact with kids and care for elderly guests makes her an exceptional crew member. Her friends describe her as kind, happy, and supportive, and her personal motto is “La vie est belle a bord d’Elvis” (Life is beautiful on Elvis).
