RYA Day Skipper

Ideal for:

    • those who have completed RYA Day Skipper theory and have previous sailing experience who want to become legally qualified to skipper a yacht

The RYA Day Skipper Course teaches you the skills needed to safely skipper a yacht by day. Whilst it is a reasonably intense course, there is still time to stop at a different port each night and enjoy the Grenadine islands. You will have plenty of time at the helm and the course lasts for 5 days, including at least one night passage of 4+ hours.

How you can take the course.

Individual

Join a yacht with other people. We like to teach a maximum of 4 people at a time. We feel it gives you that extra attention and time from the instructor and also space on board the yacht. The course lasts for 5 days. These courses are limited as we need a minimum of 3 people to run the course.

PRICES: $1250 USD PER PERSON (own cabin). Please enquire for Availability

Note: Cabin accommodation may be shared and saloon berths may be used for a reduced price

Private

Charter a yacht for 5 days with partners, friends or family (Suggested Maximum 4 people). Training this way as a familiar small group gives more personalised tuition, more time in charge of the yacht and additional spaces and comfort. Successful Day Skippers will have the opportunity to skipper the yacht themselves with their family and friends and get an idea of what a yacht holiday as a qualified skipper would be like.

Prices: Yacht Charter Price plus 260$US/day for the Instructor

Note: Instructor will require a cabin
